Bunker Brothers may be a new name in the indie scene, but its founders bring decades of combined experience working on some of the biggest titles in the industry. Their backgrounds cover everything from level and track design in Forza Motorsport to crafting immersive environments in Shadow of Mordor and Hogwarts Legacy.
We reached out to Peter Delgado, co-founder of Bunker Brothers, to learn more about the studio’s vision for Anarchy Road and how their AAA expertise is shaping development.
All 3 of us agreed quickly on the idea of working on an action driving game set in a post-apocalyptic world. There are seemingly endless ideas for cool environments and situations that will translate into a fun experience for the players.
This commitment to environmental storytelling is key to the project. Instead of building static race tracks or traditional open-world roads, Anarchy Road throws players into dynamic, war-torn landscapes where every turn is a potential battlefield.
Anarchy Road is more than just a high-speed racer or a vehicular combat game—it aims to merge the best of both worlds into a seamless experience.
At its core, the game follows a group of characters forced to escape their home on a dangerous mission, navigating hostile territories filled with enemies, obstacles, and unpredictable terrain. Speed alone won’t be enough—players will need to dodge enemy fire, blast through barricades, and make split-second decisions to survive.
For game developers, this mix of mechanics presents some key challenges:
When we asked about the game’s core experience, Delgado emphasized their design philosophy:
The focus of the game is driving and action. There is always something to do, and the action seldom lets up.
This relentless pace is what the team hopes will set Anarchy Road apart. By blending the best aspects of high-speed racing with intense, moment-to-moment action, Bunker Brothers is crafting an experience that feels dynamic and unpredictable.
The transition from AAA to indie is never easy, but it allows for creative freedom that larger studios can’t always offer. With Anarchy Road, the Bunker Brothers team is applying their years of experience to create something that delivers both technical excellence and pure fun.
For developers, Anarchy Road is a great example of how a smaller studio can take AAA experience and apply it to a passion project, using procedural environments, fast-paced gameplay loops, and a strong aesthetic vision to deliver something unique.
For players, it promises an exhilarating mix of speed and destruction—one that’s been carefully crafted by a team that knows how to build worlds, design engaging levels, and keep the action coming.
With a Q3 2025 release on the horizon, Anarchy Road is shaping up to be a must-watch title for both action and racing fans.
Keep Calm and waka waka...
