      The Role

As an Engineering Manager on a game development team at Splash Damage, you will partner with the Technical Lead/Director to provide engineering leadership. While a technical background is strongly desired and valued, your primary focus will be on people management and driving execution through communication, planning, and hiring.

In this role you will:
  • Drive hiring, mentoring, growth, retention, and health of our engineering team
  • Ensure the engineering team are working on the right things at the right time
  • Ensure the engineering team delivers progress aligned with expectations
  • Collaborate with other disciplines and production to manage dependencies

You excel at:
  • Managing, coaching, and mentoring engineers
  • Understanding cross-discipline requests and providing first line triage
  • Building relationships, and getting to know your team
  • Able to facilitate clear communication and write concise, accurate documentation
  • Utilising a strong background in engineering to drive your efforts

Even better if you have:
  • Experience shipping multiple game projects
  • Experience managing larger engineering teams
