Just Add Water (Development), Ltd. was founded in 2006 by British career developer Stewart Gilray. The studio worked as a sub-contractor on a number of titles before moving onto its first unique project, Sony-published retro shooter Gravity Crash, in 2008. PS3 and PSP versions released in 2009/2010.
JAW went on to work with Oddworld Inhabitants to develop properties in the Oddworld franchise. Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD, released on PS3, VITA and PC. Followed by the enormosly successful Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, PC, Mac and Linux.
2015-2017 saw JAW work with new Partners and Clients, such as Paradox Interactive, Rising Star Games, Bossa Studios, Codemasters & Mike Bithell, to name but a few.
In 2017 the company moved to Leeds city centre offices where they've been working with companies such as Rebellion, Outright Games, Maze Theory and Bethesda.
