As a Senior Animation Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development and execution of high-quality animations for our games. You will collaborate closely with the animation team, technical artists, and other cross-functional teams to create visually stunning and immersive experiences.
Your expertise in animation systems, tools, and techniques will be instrumental in driving innovation and delivering exceptional character movements.
What you will do
- Design, implement, and maintain robust animation systems that meet the technical requirements and artistic vision of the game.
- Work closely with riggers and technical artists to resolve animation-related issues and achieve realistic character performances.
- Optimize animation pipelines and workflows to improve efficiency and ensure smooth integration with other game systems.
- Profile and optimize animation systems to maintain smooth frame rates and responsiveness.
- Produce and maintain documentation, share best practices and conduct training sessions to the team to ensure proper use of algorithms and methods.
Who you are- 5+ years of experience in gameplay development with at least 3 years of experience as a animation engineer on a shipped AAA title.
- Strong understanding of game engine animation architecture and concepts.
- Experience working with game engines (Unreal, Unity or similar).
- Proficiency in animation software and tools (e.g., Maya, 3ds Max, MotionBuilder).
- Experience of performance optimization techniques for animation systems.
- Knowledge on how to network animation states is a big plus.
Salary range Starting from SEK 51,250 rising to 93,750 with experience.
