Director of Quality Assurance (QA)

As the Director of Quality Assurance (QA) you will provide company level leadership support to ensure that we ship stable high quality games and content to our players. Using your expert knowledge of all aspects of Quality Assurance and exceptional collaboration skills you will lead the QA efforts across all our games, setting the standards of quality in feature development testing, compatibility & compliance testing, and all areas of QA.

You'll work closely with each development team to ensure that they have the necessary QA processes, support, and staffing so that they deliver games that meet and exceed the high expectations our players have.

Responsibilities:

  • Build up the QA discipline at SEMC across strategy, team, and execution
  • Continuously evolve QA infrastructure and process to support multiple game teams serving all aspects of game
    testing needs including functional, localization, compatibility, and qualitative testing.
  • Partner with the leadership team of each project to establish a best-in-class testing process that is adaptable to the
    unique needs of each game throughout its development and live operations lifecycle
  • Manage existing QA team members and help further elevate their impact.
  • Evaluate, improve, and extend SEMC's XQA partnerships to ensure we have appropriate scalable resourcing for
    every stage of the game development process.


Required Skills:
  • 10+ years of experience working in Video Game Quality Assurance
  • 3+ years at a Manager or Senior Manager level in QA
  • Have shipped 1 or more AAA titles
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing QA processes and procedures at scale
  • Experience working on a diverse portfolio of games at all stages of development and live service, identifying risks
    and issues, mitigating and resolving them
  • Experience managing and growing a QA team of people managers and ICs
  • Ability and experience in establishing and managing external QA vendor relationships

  • Experience working on mobile & cross-platform games

The base annual salary range for this position in the United States is $100,000-$165,000. The base salary is just one part of the overall compensation package. SEMC also offers a package of benefits, including, healthcare coverage, unlimited PTO, a remote work environment, flex working schedule, parental leave support, 100% 401k match on the first 3% of your contribution, and paid local hangout meals and events. This base pay range is for the United States only and does not apply to international locations. The range for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by location and additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
