We're looking for passionate C++ tech programmers with extensive applied knowledge of all things game development to join the Sumo Warrington team, either remotely (within the UK) or in our friendly town centre studio.
Desirable skills, experience and behaviours include:
- Unreal Engine and/or proprietary C++ tech stacks, tools and workflow
- Software architecture, roadmaps and system design/specification/refactoring
- Profiling and optimisation (CPU & GPU performance and memory)
- Specialisms such as graphics, animation, physics, AI, tools, networking, audio, CI, etc
- Pragmatic problem-solving including debugging of unfamiliar functionality
- PC and console hardware platforms and associated services
- Development best practices and refinement thereof
- Proactive communication (internal and client-facing)
- Autonomous and collaborative work + ownership thereof
- Requirements gathering, planning, prioritisation, task breakdown and estimation
- Continuous personal development
- Strong maths
- Mentoring
