Skillsearch has an exciting opportunity for a skilled contract UX Expert to join our client's inclusive and welcoming team. This full-time UX role is based in Québec City.

Within the UX/UI team and in collaboration with the production teams, you will work daily with highly creative colleagues, from game strategists and designers to art directors, animators and engineers. As a UX Expert, your main responsibilities will be to establish the experience, structure and hierarchy of information and content for applications and video games on different platforms (mobile, PC and console).

To give you an idea of how this flexible role would look and feel, here are some things you could expect to do:

  • Present and share your UX visions with the client and project teams 

  • Support, supervise, and develop the journey of the other UX designers on the team by acting as a mentor 

  • Define the vision of the project experience 

  • Streamline and improve UX processes and initiatives throughout the company 

  • Design flows, wireframes, and prototypes and create all necessary documentation to help other departments in the project and stakeholders fully understand the UX vision. 

In this UX Expert position, you will need at least 8 years of experience in the industry and knowledge of the full game production pipeline and have released at least 5 game titles. Additional qualifications include:

  • A passion for video game culture 

  • The ability to live and breathe UX processes and enforce it into the production process 

  • Mastery of a specific tool is not a prerequisite; however, knowledge of Figma is an asset 

  • Knowledge of Unreal and/or Unity is a nice-to-have
