A little bit about the city: Utrecht

Situated within the heart of the Netherlands, Utrecht is a well-connected city – both to amenities and lush countryside. The city has the Netherland’s most highly educated workforce and the second best standard of living, no wonder expats are flocking here! Transport links are advanced, especially the railways. This is demonstrated by the fact that they have the busiest train station within the Netherlands, a commute to Amsterdam takes only 25 minutes and a trip to Schiphol airport takes 30. The terraces that sit upon the canals of Utrecht set it apart from other Dutch cities. This refers to the sub-street level which houses cafes and restaurants, and some beautiful outdoor seating. As for getting around, the city is too small to warrant a metro/subway system, but the bus and trams are well connected and reliable, of course, you can always cycle!
