Do you have Senior Technical Artist experience, and are you seeking a new job? Skillsearch is helping a gaming company find a full-time Senior Technical Artist, and the remote role comes with an attractive salary and benefits package.

As a key member of our Art and Cinematics team, you will be acting as a bridge between the art and engineering teams. You will facilitate seamless asset integration in Unreal Engine (UE) and support with technical guidance. You’ll be assisting animators with implementing rigged characters in the UE, creating tools to help streamline the artists’ workflow and more.

In your first few weeks in this Technical Artist role, you can expect to:

  • Collaborate with core team members to develop the overall vision and determine technical feasibility 

  • Identify and analyse risks (engine, data, features, etc) 

  • Assess existing tools and occasionally design custom ones to support art pipelines and workflows to sustain the project vision 

  • Set up and maintain frameworks to allow creative freedom while hitting quality and performance requirements set up by the engineering team 

  • Meet with Art Director, Technical Art Lead and Director of Production regularly to share information and updates, enforce standards, set benchmarks, give feedback, etc 

To apply for this Senior Technical Artist role, your soft skills, expertise, and experience should include:

  • Experience with Unreal Engine 4.x and 5.x Unreal Game Sync and Visual Scripting (Blueprints) 

  • Advanced knowledge of Blender, 3DSMax, Maya, Photoshop, Zbrush and Substance Designer 

  • Knowledge of modern 3D graphics techniques 

  • Experience writing and modifying shaders 

  • Experience with version control software such as Perforce or Git
