Do you have multiplayer programming experience, and are you seeking a new job? Skillsearch is helping a gaming studio find a Senior Multiplayer Programmer, and the remote role comes with an attractive salary and benefits package. Employees can work remotely from across Canada.

As a Senior Multiplayer Programmer, you will be responsible for coordinating multiplayer requirements and designing and implementing cutting-edge networking solutions.

In your first few weeks in this Senior Multiplayer Programmer role, you can expect to:

  • Work in a multilingual and multicultural working environment, communicating across language and time zone barriers 

  • Coordinate multiplayer requirements and design and implement cutting-edge networking solutions. 

To apply for this Senior Multiplayer Programmer role, you will need knowledge of C++ coding principles and practices with at least 4 years of professional experience. You will also require the following:

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in the games industry 

  • Experience with first-person perspective games (especially shooters) 

  • Multi-threaded programming skills 

  • Understanding of network protocols such as HTTP, TCP and UDP.
