If you have gameplay software developer experience and you’re seeking a new remote role, Skillsearch wants to hear from you! We are helping a gaming company hire a full-time Senior Gameplay Programmer, and the role comes with a salary of £60,000 and an attractive benefits package. This role is available for remote work in the UK, Spain or Canada. Or via an umbrella company in Poland, Netherlands, Hungary and Ireland.

As Senior Gameplay Programmer, you will design and implement functionality for AAA external clients.

To give you an idea of how this flexible role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do in a typical week:

  • Direct several areas, including gameplay, AI, UI, Multiplayer, Core Tech 

  • Identify and highlight potential risks in the solutions that are being worked on 

  • Provide mentoring support to other members of the team as directed by the Lead/Technical Director 

  • Solve problems through the application of sound software engineering principles and endeavour to minimise technical and maintenance issues. 

To apply, you will need to be an engineer with professional experience in games. The following are required:

  • At least two or more shipped games 

  • Experience with consoles like PS4/PS5 and XboxOne/SeriesX preferable 

  • Excellent C++ programming skills 

  • Knowledge of Unreal (UE4/UE5), Unity and other proprietary engines and experience developing multiplayer games is highly desirable.
