We are looking to hire a Senior Gameplay Programmer for a full-time role located in either B.C. or Alberta. You will be working with a new video game company, earning an appealing salary and benefits for your expertise.

As Sr. Gameplay Programmer, you will work closely with designers to discover, design and build the fun and innovative gameplay of the company's flagship title.

To give you an idea of how this flexible role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do as Gameplay Programmer:

  • Participate in game design discussions and contribute valuable ideas to all aspects of the project

  • Develop prototypes to explore gameplay concepts and iterate based on constructive feedback

  • Collaborate with other development disciplines to integrate gameplay into a cohesive player experience

  • Write clean, robust, efficient, and reliable code

You will need experience in professional game development shipping multiple AAA titles, ideally with Unreal Engine to apply for this Senior Gameplay Programmer position. You will also require the following:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or another related field

  • Excellent C++ skills, with an aptitude for architecting fun and innovative gameplay mechanics

  • Excellent creative problem-solving, math, and analytical skills

  • Keen understanding of the state of the art in game design and interactivity
