Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Game Server Engineer to join their inclusive and collaborative team to provide technical leadership in building high-performance and scalable game server architecture. This is a full-time remote role that comes with an excellent salary and benefits package.

As a Senior Game Server Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimising game server systems for our innovative projects in the metaverse. You will work closely with the game development team to ensure seamless integration of server-side functionality and provide technical leadership in building high-performance and scalable game server architecture.

In your first few weeks in this Senior Game Server Engineer role, you can expect to:

  • Design, develop, and deploy high-performance game server systems 

  • Collaborate with game developers to define and implement server-side game features and systems 

  • Optimise game server performance and scalability 

  • Ensure the security and stability of the game server system 

  • Troubleshoot and resolve server side issues and bugs. 

To apply for this Senior Game Server Engineer role, you will need 5+ years of professional experience in game server development. You will also require the following:

  • Proficiency in Unreal Engine stacks and Unreal Engine server deployment 

  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages for backend development (e.g 

  • C++, Python, Java) 

  • Deep understanding of network protocols, multiplayer architecture, and game server frameworks 

  • Experience designing and implementing scalable and highly available game server systems.
