Level Designer in Amsterdam

As a Level Designer at this studio in Amsterdam, you will look after the design, prototyping and implementation of design tasks in Unreal Engine 5, working on a project from the very start and generally making a huge contribution to the product.

This AAA studio is home to one of the bestselling games of all time and is made up of a tight team of talented individuals. 4 years after the release of their flagship title, which is one of the highest selling games of all time, they are now working on a brand new, highly anticipated project... Level Designer responsibilities:

  • Create unique spaces that are fun to play in 

  • Improve tools for level design alongside Technical Design team 

  • Develop consistent level design in line with the project vision 

  • Create and maintain documentation 

  • Create and improve pipelines and processes 

Essential requirements for this role in Amsterdam:

  • Experience in Level Design on AAA game projects 

  • Experience working with level design for multiplayer maps and balance 

  • Experience with game editors and/or 3D packages 

  • Experience supporting playtesting and data 

  • Strong knowledge of current games in the action/shooter genre 

  • Able to create map layouts on all stages 

  • Able to use all elements including texturing, lighting, sound and VFX 

  • Analytical and creative thinking skills
