Skillsearch is helping a gaming studio find an experienced Lead Engine Programmer to join their new studio. This full-time Lead Engine Programmer remote role comes with a generous salary and benefits package.

In this Lead Engine Programmer role, you will be the driving force behind growing and maintaining effective teams, providing feedback and nurturing the development of team members. You will also use your Unreal Engine expertise.

In your first few weeks in this role, you can expect to:

  • Develop architectural proposals and guide the vision for diverse engine systems, ensuring they meet desired functionality and performance standards 

  • Propose tools or technologies that could enhance the ability to deliver great engine systems support 

  • Own and drive engine topics, and make decisions about them 

  • Propose and implementing solutions to the challenges of performance and scale of a large open-world game. 

To apply for this Lead Engine Programmer role, your soft skills, expertise and experience should include:

  • At least 8 years of professional experience in the games industry 

  • Deep knowledge of Unreal Engine 

  • Experience in one or more engine-related focus areas, including but not limited to rendering, tools, physics, etc 

  • Experience working on various platforms.
