If you have experience developing art in the games industry and are seeking a new job in Chengdu, we want to hear from you. Skillsearch is helping a games studio recruit a Lead Art Designer, and the full-time role comes with an attractive salary and benefits package.

As a Lead Artist, you will provide art direction for the various projects in one of the company's VR studio. You will collaborate with the other department leads to ensure game visuals match product goals and game mechanics.

In your first week in this Lead Art role, you can expect to:

  • Drive the art vision that aligns with the product goals on various products with a wide range of target audiences 

  • Collaborate with the Studio Director to define the vision of the game, and ensure consistency between product vision and art direction 

  • Set art style guides, production goals, and milestones 

  • Proactively assess and create art production pipelines 

  • Grow and develop Art Leads and the artists of tomorrow. 

To apply for this Lead Artist role, you will need 5+ years of experience developing art in the games industry. You will also require professional experience in managing other art leaders. In addition, you should have mastered art fundamentals and have a deep understanding of artistic culture.
