If you have Unity/C# experience and you’re seeking a new remote-working contract, Skillsearch wants to hear from you. We are helping a company in the gaming sector recruit a Graphics Programmer for a 6-8 month contract, and the role comes with an attractive hourly rate.

As a Graphics Programmer Contractor, you will help the art team achieve the vision for how the game should look, whilst ensuring that the game performs well across a variety of hardware platforms.

In your first few weeks in this Graphics Programmer role, you can expect to:

  • Work with the code team in Unity 3D to support the art team in achieving its vision for the game 

  • Maintain and optimise existing rendering systems, both CPU and GPU 

  • Diagnose and fix graphical and performance issues. 

To apply for this Graphics Programmer role, you will need to be highly skilled with maths, shader programming, rendering pipelines, compute shader programming and graphics techniques and optimisation. You will also require the following:

  • Unity 3D experience 

  • Experience in production development on PC and consoles 

  • Experience rendering weather systems and natural phenomena like water, foliage and atmospheric effects (desirable) 

  • SRP experience (beneficial).
