Remote Gameplay Programmer

Are you a Game Programmer with console development experience? Like the sound of joining a talented team at a highly successful studio then you could be a great fit for this role!

As a Gameplay Programmer at this studio, you will be working fully remotely as you write robust code, implement gameplay mechanics, write documentation and more, in order to allow the studio to create top quality games.

This studio is a leading developer of games and is one of the biggest indie studios in Europe which works on a range of media from books and comics to TV and film! As they work on some exciting unreleased titles, they’re growing their diverse team, so it’s the perfect time to join them!

Please note this role is remote within Europe only.

Gameplay Programmer responsibilities: 

  • Create and implement new gameplay code (strategy, mechanics, combat systems, AI, UI, logic, audio code, etc.) 
  • Meet game requirements and coding standards 
  • Maintain and debug code 
  • Write and maintain technical documentation 
  • Optimise code and data for memory usage and performance 

Key requirements for this remote role: 

  • Strong C/C++ skills 
  • Able to familiarise yourself with an existing codebase quickly 
  • Able to prototype and produce the final code 
  • Debugging, profiling and optimising, system design and 3D maths skills 
  • Passionate about games
