Skillsearch is helping a games studio find an Environment Artist to create 3D props and art dress levels for a single-player, story-driven, puzzle-based game. This full-time Environment Artist role is based in Gothenburg, Sweden, although remote work is possible. The role comes with an attractive salary and benefits. A fluent level of English is required.

As an Environment Artist, you will be working closely with the Art Director, fellow artists and the Level Design team to create beautiful and inviting scenery that complements and adds to the gameplay.

In your first few weeks in this role, you can expect to:

  • Take levels from gameplay block out to fully art-dressed levels 

  • Help level designers continuously with art-related issues 

  • Create interesting and inviting scenery and backdrops 

  • Model and texture 3D props 

  • Create complete art sets for new environment types. 

To be successful in this position, you will need experience working with Maya, 3ds Max, Blender, Substance Painter and Adobe Photoshop. You will also require the following:

  • Experience working in Unreal Engine 4 

  • Experience creating concept art 

  • Experience with 3D scanning 

  • Experience working with lighting and creating VFX.
