Do you have Unreal Engine experience, and are you seeking a new job? Skillsearch is helping a gaming company find a full-time Engine Programmer, and the role comes with an attractive salary and benefits package.

You will join a small, closely-knit team of ambitious game makers working on defining the next evolution of the survival games genre.

In your first few weeks in this Unreal Engine Developer role, you can expect to:

  • Build systems that procedurally generate worlds at runtime 
  • Create systems for the hierarchical distribution of assets, biomes, resources, Points of Interest, landscape graphs etc 
  • Work closely with design and art to create content authoring tools for world generation and procedural variation 
  • Improve the voxel landscape system and integrate with procgen systems. 

To apply, you will need 4 years of experience making games, with at least 2 years in Unreal Engine. You will also require the following:

  • Strong C++ skills 
  • Experience writing large-scale systems that process a large amount of data 
  • Familiarity with Data Oriented Systems design (for example ECS) 
  • Ability to write complex systems that integrate with the game and engine at a deeper level.
