Skillsearch is helping a Gothenburg-based company find a full-time Animator, and the role comes with an attractive salary and benefits package. Being able to work from the Gothenburg office is a huge plus.

In this Animator role, you will create customized rigs for characters and props to be used inside the game engine. You will also implement the animations inside the engine using state machines, animation blueprints and control rigs to bring characters to life.

In your first few weeks in this Animator role, you can expect to:

  • Create customized rigs for characters and props to be used inside the game engine 

  • Create stylized animation where realism meets extraordinary to achieve believable animations that entice and create impactful movement 

To succeed in this Animator role, you should have 5 years of experience in Maya together with 3 years of experience in Photoshop and Unreal Engine. You will also need:

  • Solid knowledge of high and extreme body movements 

  • 2D animation experience 

  • Scripting experience using e.g MEL or Python 

  • Experience in other relevant software such as Zbrush, Substance, Blender, Houdini, Marvelous Designer, After Effects, and Source Control
