Scopely is looking for a talented and experienced Senior Animator to join our team based from the U K , Ireland, Portugal or Spain on a remote or hybrid basis.

What You'll Do
As a Senior member of the art team you will be influential in helping the Art director make their artistic vision come to life. You will work in a collaborative environment to build and iterate on animations for a wide range of characters. The ideal candidate will have a portfolio displaying a high level of ability of realistic and stylized keyframe animations.
- Create high quality animations and bring life and appealing performances to the game's characters and creatures, while maintaining the animation style of the project
- Implement animations into engine with full ownership of your work
- Be involved in the character creation process, from concept through to final animation
- Collaborate with Tech Art and Code teams to ensure pipelines and tools are effective, optimal and capable of delivery
- Demonstrate a detailed understanding of anatomy and motion in all of the work you supervise or create
- Produce visual benchmarks and production guides, breaking down technical specifications to reproduce animations within style
- Support the development and documentation of animation pipelines and workflows
- Work alongside Technical Art/Animation to implement animations and animation systems
- Collaborate across disciplines to understand animation requirements and propose solutions
- Mentor and support the junior animators in the teams as well as assist external development partners
What We're Looking For
- Proven ability to deliver outstanding animation in a game development environment
- Experience working on multiple titles in your career as an Senior Animator - ideally having shipped a game
- Proficient keyframe animation skills
- Experience using Maya or similar animation tools - Maya is our pipeline
- Exhibit a strong understanding of the fundamental principles of animation
- Take ownership of animation responsibilities and oversee tasks
- Good understanding of game animation processes from source to engine - ideally within Unity
- Excellent communication skill with a positive and proactive viewpoint
- Able to take critique and give feedback in a professional manner
- Self motivated and strong organizational skills with adherence to project specifications, technology requirements and budget
Bonus Points
- Experienced working with an IP
- Experience with fighting/combat system development
- Knowledge of Python scripting
- Creation of documentation - writing briefs, processes, tools within Confluence or equivalent software
- Enjoy Sci-fi
- A passion for games
