As a Staff Accountant, you will play an important role in our financial close process and scaling our operations. Your main responsibilities include cash management, investment accounting, and maintaining our prepaid reconciliation. You will report to an Accounting Manager at our San Mateo headquarters.
You will:
- Perform monthly GL accounting close tasks, including but not limited to preparing journal entries and account reconciliations for the assigned areas that may include cash, investments and prepaid expenses
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items
- Manage accurate and compliant recording of investment transactions while adhering to accounting standards
- Coordinate internal and external audit requests including preparation of supporting reports and documentation
- Work on ad hoc projects, such as improving procedures, automating processes and researching accounting topics
You have: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related degree and 2+ years of relevant experience (CPA a plus)
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and standards (e.g., US GAAP)
- Experience with internal controls and external audit processes
- Experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets).
- Experience related to NetSuite, Floqast, Clearwater, and Zip a plus.

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.
Annual Salary Range
$85,000-$104,130 USD
Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
