As a Senior Software Engineer working on our Subscriptions team, you will help build new subscription products across the Roblox platform. The developers in our community are earning hundreds of millions of dollars each year and this team provides the infrastructure and statistics to empower developers as they monetize their experiences. You will help scale our distributed systems while maintaining a safe and secure economy. This role will report into one of our Engineering Managers.
You Will
- Have direct impact on the future direction of the largest social platform for play, delivering groundbreaking solutions allowing our community developers earn a sustainable living and build experiences for an audience of over 70 million daily active users.
- Be a part of the team building the next generation of the Roblox Digital Economy
- Develop backend services that scale to billions of products and transactions.
- Collaborate with our product, design, data science, and machine learning teams.
- Help recruit future talent for the team and mentor junior engineers
You Have
- Genuine passion about building Roblox's Economy
- Focused on writing clear, readable, testable, modular, and monitored code
- Shipped large-scale, consumer-facing mobile and web applications
- Knowledge with REST, GRPC, API design patterns, and scalable containerized systems and microservices
- A data-driven focus to provide quality metrics and monitoring
- A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent professional experience) in Computer Science or related engineering field with at least 4 years of hands-on experience
For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.

$189,110-$233,840 USD
Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
