Based in the heart of Leamington Spa, Pixel Toys have spent almost a decade pushing the capabilities of mobile and VR gaming. We have developed multiple award-winning titles, including: Warhammer 40,000: Freeblade, Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realm War; and we're now excited to be exclusively working on a new game, unlike ANYTHING we've done previously!

The Role:
As an integral member of our server-side engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our game server API by building robust and maintainable code which serves the game client and other networked systems. You will work closely with other discipline teams to ensure seamless integration with client hardware, as well designing and implementing services, architectures and components to support our latest exciting title.
You will play a crucial role in developing key systems in the server codebase: ensuring that our back end, cloud systems, and distributed systems work seamlessly together through continuous automation and the monitoring of the development and release lifecycles.
About you:
As a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and proactive Server Programmer, you will have broad experience working across a wide variety of systems on the back end, cloud and distributed systems. You will also come with a deep understanding of robust, clean and maintainable code, standards, and methodologies/patterns.
Whether you have experience with C# .NET or other high-level programming languages such as Java or Python, we'd love to hear from you.
It would also be advantageous to join us with knowledge of CI/CD processes (Jenkins, TeamCity) and/or non-relational databases (such as Azure, DynamoDB, MongoDB etc).
