Role: Jr/Sr Level Designer Skating AAA Video Game
Type of Position: Part-time/ Freelance
Salary/Stipend: $2000 to $7000 per month
Duration: 1 Month (+extension )
Work Location: Remote
Work Experience: 1 yr+
Start Date: Immediately
MBS Studios is seeking a Jr/Sr Level Designer for our upcoming Skating Game responsible for designing fun to play levels for our game
Responsibilities:
Designing levels and gameplay for quests. Take skate lines, visual appeal and feasibility into account.
Review concept documents for a level, suggest changes (if needed), and incorporate elements into the level.
Make 3D blackouts in Unreal Engine 5 which the Environment Artists can follow to develop a game-ready, fun-to-play level.
Be a part of the level development process and suggest improvements through regular suggestions.
Recognize areas in levels which can be repurposed (with some changes) for multiplayer game modes.
Review existing multiplayer game mode ideas, suggest changes, and come up with your own.
Skills:
Prior Experience working with Unreal Engine 5 and scripting knowledge (preferably knowledge of Unreal Engine and Blueprints)
Creative problem-solving skills;
Advanced PC user;
Excellent communication skills;
Understanding aesthetic and functional roles of the environment;
Ability to work independently as well as in a team;
Ability to clearly pitch and iterate gameplay ideas;
Nice to have:
Experience with bug-tracking;
Experience with Arcade - Sports titles;
Level Design experience with one or more shipped titles in a similar role;
