We're looking for a Senior Generalist Engineer to work with our development team to create and maintain features for gameplay, engine, and tools. Our ideal candidate will have the curiosity to tackle cutting-edge technical challenges, the experience to apply tried-and-true solutions, and the discipline to determine the difference.

The first project you'll work on is our tactical military shooter, which recently launched into Early Access as the world's #1 selling PC game and is scheduled for full release on PC and consoles in late 2024. You will play a crucial role in the entire game development process, and will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including artists, designers, and other engineers, to bring our game concepts to life.The ideal candidate should possess a strong foundation in various areas of game development, demonstrating expertise in gameplay, tools, and engine-related tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate across multiple teams on features, debugging, and maintaining an optimal workflow.
  • Implement and maintain gameplay and engine features for networking, multiplayer, and procedurally generated environments.
  • Optimize and maintain existing engine systems for performance and scalability.
  • Identify and resolve bugs, performance bottlenecks, and other technical issues.
  • Create and improve in-house development tools to streamline the game creation process.
  • Provide support and documentation for tools to assist other team members.
  • Optimize code for various platforms and hardware configurations


REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of C++ and game development
  • Familiarity with Unreal Engine 4 recommended
  • Bonus qualifications: Steam/EOS/PSN/Xbox Live development, UI/Slate
  • 3+ years of experience as a Gameplay or Engine Programmer

COMPENSATION We offer base salaries that are competitive with similar companies, plus an aggressive profit-sharing program. In the US, base salaries for this position within our industry typically range from $105,000 - $150,000. Your base salary with us will depend on your responsibilities, performance within our studio, previous experience before joining us, unique skills, education, and your location. In addition to our profit-sharing program, we also cover medical, dental, and vision insurance for you and your family, and we offer a 401k retirement savings plan
