As a Fullstack Engineer at Embark you will be an enabler and force multiplier, focusing on enabling both the games themselves as well as our technical platforms.

At Embark we believe that experts in all fields should be in control of the tools they use. We also know, from experience, that high iteration speeds and continuous improvements are key to achieving the high quality, polished experiences we want to provide our players. Our Continuous Delivery team is instrumental in this process by building tools and infrastructure for our game teams.

We need a Fullstack Engineer in this field to help us build efficient and beautiful user experiences and interfaces for our game developers.

You'll be part of a small and passionate team with an end-to-end mission that is easy to describe, but harder to achieve: Maintain and improve our time-to-market. You'll collaborate closely with the rest of the game team and studio to understand and eliminate friction in the creative processes.

Example of responsibilities

  • Build internal tools and automated solutions for our developers, typically in the form of web pages/services but occasionally native tools
  • Continuously improve our engineering practices and automate existing workflows to make sure our services are easy to deploy, scale and maintain.
  • Collaborate and work closely with multiple teams to deliver products for a smooth developer experience.
  • Collaborate with other game makers in the company to understand where there's friction, both for our software engineers as well as external users, and to address it.

We would love if you have
  • Solid experience with the technologies we use such as Go, Python, React and the GCP stack
  • Experience building frontends and backends, mainly internal data-driven tools
  • Experience deploying and maintaining services on a cloud infrastructure
  • An analytical mindset, self-drive and a can-do attitude to drive projects from idea to product
  • Background in the gaming industry or other consumer-facing products
  • A passion for games, interactive experiences and new technologies

At Embark we offer competitive salaries, passionate colleagues to share knowledge with and much more, but most of all we invite you to take part of a journey into the unknown, to build creative, surprising and beautiful experiences together.

We welcome game makers of all sex, class, colour, age, gender identity, education, religion, opinion, culture, nation of origin, language, sexual orientation, shape, size, and ability.

Did we leave anyone out? Well, we welcome you, too! We think that the gaming industry is made better when everyone has a seat at the table.

Be yourself at Embark and make games while doing so. Please apply with confidence. We can't wait to hear from you (in English)!

If this role doesn't quite match what you're looking for, feel free to apply to us via our " Open Application. "
