Auroch Digital is a Bristol-based videogame developer with a passion for making games that relate to and deal with real-world issues. We work on original titles, partnerships, and work-for-hire projects - specialising in strategy, retro, porting and, digital tabletop games -including Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, Brewmaster, and Mars Horizon.

Day in the Life of a Principal Programmer at Auroch Digital:

As a Principal Programmer at Auroch Digital, you will contribute to the programming team by planning and directing your own work while writing high-quality code. You be responsible for writing high-quality code, adhering to and enforcing programming best practices and standards, as well as assisting the Technical Director with drawing up policy and best practices. You will also liaise with other disciplines and teams within the studio as well as external partners to facilitate the development on our projects.

What you need to do this job:

• Solid knowledge of C++ and C#

• Working knowledge of current game programming techniques

• Experience working on games for console and PC

• Ability to think critically and apply analytical skills in resolving complex issues

• Excellent time management with the ability to delegate requests for time as appropriate

The Interview Process:

The interview process will consist of 3 stages:

1st Stage: a chat with the Technical Director, and another member of the programming team

2nd Stage: a take-home technical test (depending on experience)

3rd Stage: a final interview, with the Studio Director, Production Director and Technical Director
