We're working with Dorado Games to find a Unity Developer to join their Malta based studio as they develop an unannounced title, as well as adding to their new line up of online games.
As a Unity Developer at Dorado, you will be using a blend of proven and new technologies to contribute towards the development of global strategy games. You will collaborate with colleagues in the Programming team as well as across other disciplines to create exceptional online game play experiences.
Dorado Games are an established Malta based studio who are well-known as the developers of the military themed online RTS game "Conflict of Nations: World War 3" for mobile and PC platforms. Their tight knit, international team are part of the Stillfront Group and use the support of a strong partner network all over Europe to create immersive games that encourage strong competitive strategy play.
Your responsibilities...
- Contribute towards designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining and improving Dorado's framework being developed on top of Unity
- Ensure a high level of performance through profiling and optimisation
- Work directly with data-oriented gameplay, graphics pipeline, and RTS-like features
- Writing and maintaining efficient code, detailed technical design and documentation
- Collaborate across teams to deliver an exceptional online game play experience
The skills and experience you'll bring to the role... - 3 or more years' of professional games industry experience developing 3D games
- Contributed to large scale Unity projects, ideally live service games
- Proficient in Unity and C#
- Skilled in debugging, optimisation, technical design, and documentation
- Shipped or live development experience on one or more commercial products or games
Desirable skills... - Knowledgeable about multiplayer/PvP/online game development practices
- Unity DOTS or ECS/ Data-Oriented Design experience
- Strong understanding of graphics pipeline and CI/CD pipeline with Github actions
- Familiar with agile software development and scrum based working environments
