Job description

Aardvark Swift is seeking talented and motivated individuals to assist in the development and delivery of high-quality game code for AAA projects with Flix Interactive.

This includes work on both Unreal Engine projects and proprietary ventures, as well as collaborations with high-profile co-development partners.

Your responsibilities...

  • Work closely with the UI Team to create engaging game interfaces.
  • Communicate well and collaborate effectively with the Programming and Design Teams to ensure polished UI that meets design and tech standards.
  • Follow project and tech guidelines, focusing on performance and solving issues with the team.
  • Optimize code for memory and performance.
  • Take charge of task planning, meet deadlines, and keep production in the loop about any issues.
  • Set achievable goals with the design and production teams.
  • Team up with QA to squash bugs efficiently.
The skills and experience you'll bring to the role...
  • At least 2 years of experience making game UI with C++.
  • Strong C++ skills, making top-notch code.
  • Specialized in game UI, including animation and detail-oriented layouts.
  • Solid understanding of code structure and the ability to adapt quickly.
  • Good debugging skills across languages and the ability to optimize.
  • Quick at making prototypes to match design specs.
  • Able to create high-quality UI for both single and multiplayer games.
Desirable but not essential skills...
  • Experience with multiplayer development.
  • Comfortable with giving and getting code reviews.
  • Familiarity with different parts of game creation.
  • Experience developing for consoles like Xbox One or PS4.
  • Worked on and maintained live games.
  • At least 2 years of experience with Unreal Engine 4, knowing its tools well.
  • Familiar with Unreal Engine 4 blueprint and UMG logic.
  • Experience with front-end web development using HTML5/CSS/JavaScript (especially TypeScript).
  • Knowledge of Coherent UI for Unreal Engine using Coherent Gameface.
