Legendary studio IO Interactive are working with us to find a Senior 3C Designer to work on their fantasy MMORPG project which promises to bring a fresh take on the genre.
As a 3C Game Designer at IO you will design the core gameplay elements that are crucial to the player experience, giving you a key role in the development of the title as IO lay it's foundations.
IO Interactive is an independent videogame development and publishing company with studios in Copenhagen, Malmö, Barcelona, Istanbul and Brighton, meaning you'll be able to choose which studio location you work from.
IO Interactive have served as the creative force behind some of the most notable multiplatform video games over the past decade, IO are dedicated to crafting unforgettable characters and experiences, all powered by their award-winning, proprietary Glacier technology.
Your responsibilities...
- Develop and refine character movements, ensuring they are smooth, responsive, and engaging
- Design intuitive control schemes that enhance player interaction and enjoyment
- Craft camera systems that enhance the player's view and maintain immersion
- Collaborate closely with Animators, Gameplay Programmers, and other teams to prototype and implement 3C features
- Take designs through a full development cycle from concept to release
- Use metrics, player feedback, and diverse analytics to improve and refine the design
The skills and experience you'll bring to the role... - 5 or more years design experience in the games industry
- Experience as a Game Designer with a strong focus on 3C features
- Shipped one or more AAA games where you were involved in, or in charge of, character, controls, and camera design
- Proficient with visual scripting languages
- Enjoy working hands-on with prototypes
- Enjoy working hands-on with prototypes
- Passionate about and deeply understanding of game mechanics, with experience playing a wide variety of titles
