Lead C++ Programmer in Toronto

Are you an accomplished game engineer who is an expert in C++? Are you looking for a new opportunity at a AAA studio? This role could be for you

As a Lead C++ Programmer at this studio in Toronto, you will be managing the programming team as they work on the sequel to their original bestselling game. You will be supporting the creation of this second title, as well as the upkeep of the original game. You should be passionate about providing leadership and supporting a team, whilst also getting your hands dirty within the game development.

This indie studio place passion and innovation at the heart of everything they do. Their team is made up of people with a true love for games who are following their dreams. Specialising in multiplayer combat games, their growing team are currently working on the sequel of a game that has made millions, so it’s a great time to get involved!

Lead C++ Programmer responsibilities:

Lead the programming team on both a technical and personal level

Guide the creation of technical design documents

Review games at regular intervals during development

Encourage an ambitious team atmosphere

Take on responsibility for recruitment and development of the programming team

Key requirements for this role in Toronto:

Highly skilled in C++

Significant prior professional game programming experience

Previous leadership experience

Experience working on AAA console titles

Experience of working in Unreal Engine 4, or similar

Enthusiastic about refining ideas into shippable game features

University degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or Software Engineering
