Games Jobs Direct are WFH: Week 2

Games Jobs Direct: WFH Week 2

Hello from the Games Jobs Direct Team,

We're still here and we're still working as normally as possible in these very strange times. Jamie, Dave, and Abbie are all working hard, advertising our clients latest vacancies. We chatted with a number of our amazing studio partners this week to find out how the current situation is affecting their studios and hiring practices - you can see their responses here.

This week we've checked in with our team to find out how Week 2 has been and - to get pictures of all the Games Jobs Direct pets. It seems to be the thing to do seeing as we're home all the time now!

Jamie Clarke's dog - Lola

This week has gone fine. There's still plenty of deals being done. It's great to see that it's business as usual for most game studios. Most seem to be able to pivot and adapt which is really encouraging to see.

David Heath's tropical fish!

It's getting a little bit like Groundhog Day, it's difficult to know which day it is! But, I'm finding plenty of things to be getting on with to break up the days and to make the evenings more fun while stuck at home. I've been getting stuck into teaching myself some game development as well as bingeing plenty of TV - Tiger King & The Simpsons have been on the list this week.

Abbie Dickinson's Bosc Monitor - Moxie

Being inside all the time is a little bit testing but having plenty of work to do is definitely helpful! Luckily for me, the weather up North has been a lot worse over the last week so outside has been a lot less tempting! In my free time, I've got a lot of books on my kindle, a MASSIVE gaming backlog to work my way through and Netflix isn't going anywhere.

Make sure to follow our Social Media Channels for all of our latest and greatest vacancies, as well as updates from the team.

Keep Calm and waka waka...
