IO Interactive

From Freedom Fighters to HITMAN

Maybe you already know us. Maybe you don't. But don't worry, you will soon. IOI is the company behind Hitman, Freedom Fighters, MiniNinjas and Kane & Lynch - games played by millions of fans all over the world.

Founded in 1998, we draw on some of the most experienced talents in our field. Today, we're an independent AAA game developer, constantly changing and adapting to have the most innovative games in production. We have many new exciting projects just waiting for you to come and work on them.

Level up in an international environment

We’re a highly international company where you’ll get around 160 new colleagues with 27 nationalities sharing offices in both progressive Copenhagen and the cozy city of Malmö.

Collaborating with programmers, technical artists, producers, game and sound designers and many more, you can touch upon all avenues of game development. This also means that your role is very flexible, and we can adapt it to your competencies and wishes along the way.

Meet Glacier 2 – our award-winning game engine

Our technologies are cutting edge, so we can develop state-of-the-art game design.

We even have our own in-house, proprietary game engine (we call it Glacier), and it’s still making our most senior programmers giddy about how cool it is. We’ve even won prizes for it.

Cozy breakfasts, themed parties and movie nights

We’re doing as much as we can to make IOI feel like a second home. We meet in the morning and share breakfast, eat lunch together and party together.

Every now and then we have IOI days where we can dig into our pet projects or attend presentations from colleagues or external experts on everything game related.

Around Christmas, we usually have the house full of all our kids making gingerbread houses and paper cuttings. In the summertime, there are often a high score competition on our arcade machines or football games going on – and besides these three cornerstones of Denmark (food, beer and football), there’s a thing like the monthly board game night where we just go totally analogue.

And sometimes, we just work!

Oh - and one last thing ...

A good work-life balance is very important to us. We want everyone to respect their 37 hour a week, and we plan our projects in order to prioritize it an make it easy. We also offer flexible work days that you are the sole master of, so you can take care of yourself and your family.
