    Jagex Games Studio is looking for a talented QA Team Leader to join our team in Cambridge, on the award-winning RuneScape team. You will benefit from working in a highly talented team with QA veterans of over 10 years, and be part of a growing business which has rewarding opportunities.

     

    As one of the supervisors of this large, busy QA department, you will be jointly responsible for supervising the execution of testing across all RuneScape products and directly line managing QA Analysts working on them. With excellent working knowledge of the product, testing and our production lifecycles, you will be expected to support the overall team and guide your line reports towards achieving their aspirations while also contributing to the overall product wherever possible to help achieve our company goals and vision.

    Main Duties and Responsibilities:

     

    • Track each project to identify that project requirements have been met

    • Supervise testing on all projects to ensure they are released with the highest possible quality

    • Proactively highlight weaknesses in the team to the Head of QA and suggest solutions

    • Directly line manage and support the team to help develop their skills

    • Mentor QA staff to facilitate their growth and aspirations providing coaching

    • Provide members of staff with consistent actionable feedback to help them improve

    • Keep current with project risks and releases highlighting concerns to Product Owners

    • Diverse new strategies and testing approaches to achieve a higher quality in game content

    • Ensure content playtests are run effectively and that information obtained is used effectively

    • Provide analysis on content release outcomes via post release reports and retrospectives

    • Frequently assess training requirements in the team and highlight training needs to L&D

    • Keep current with the evolution of QA in the industry and identify best practices for the team
