Since our inception in 2003, we have had a string of successful titles across all gaming platforms for partners that include Microsoft, SEGA, Sony, Disney and many more.
Our most recent successes include Little Big Planet 3 (PlayStation 4, / PlayStation 3), Disney Infinity 3.0 Toy Box Speedway (multi-platform ), Hitman (multi-platform), Forza Horizon 3 (Xbox One / Windows) and Snake Pass (multi-platform) . We are also incredibly proud to be working on the highly anticipated Crackdown 3 (Xbox One) and Dead Island 2 (multi-platform), plus several other exciting but currently unannounced projects.
Opening in March 2016, Sumo Digital's Nottingham studio has grown steadily, featuring highly experienced industry talent covering a wide range of disciplines. The studio has a number of projects well under way now, including ' Project Nova ' - an online multiplayer shooter set in the Eve Online universe - published by CCP, with many more exciting opportunities ahead.

Role and Purpose
Due to expansion we are looking to recruit a Senior IT Technician at our busy Nottingham studio.
Reporting to the IT Director, responsibilities will include the maintenance of the company servers, improvement of the group network infrastructure and assisting with the day-to-day maintenance of over 350 workstations. This role offers excellent potential for further training and the opportunity to work in a highly creative and fast-paced videogame development studio. The role will involve out of hours support when required.
Skills Experience and Qualifications
Excellent knowledge of All Microsoft Servers and Windows Operating Systems
Extensive background in Active Directory, DHCP, DNS
Knowledge of creating deployments, updates and packages in Microsoft SCCM
Has worked with Vmware 5.5 or higher and Veeam
Microsoft Exchange or Office 365
Working competency of Linux primarily Redhat, Centos, Debian or Fedora
An understanding and working competency of Skype for Business and Teams
Good knowledge and a solid understanding of Apple Mac operating systems
Good communication skills and the ability to quickly deal with SLA's
Customer problems and queries in a Windows, Apple Mac and Linux mixed environment
Basic configuration of Switches, Network-Layout and Topology
Ability to provide support using Microsoft Office suite of applications
Working knowledge of centralized anti-virus servers such as windows defender, TMG etc.
Any knowledge of Perforce, Alienbrain, SVN and other Asset management software
Knowledge of Microsoft TFS, Jira, Hansoft or any other bug tracking / project management software
Any experience of dev kits or development tools for the PlayStation, Xbox or Wii platforms would be extremely beneficial for the successful candidate
Autodesk and Adobe products (Photoshop, 3ds Max, Maya and Illustrator)
Certified or Working towards professional qualifications:
You will be Microsoft Certified (MCSA, MCTS, MCITP)
CCENT Certification would be an advantage
Other certifications such as CompTIA and ITIL are also welcomed
