    Community and Social Manager – London, UK

    You could be the voice and ambassador for a major games brand. Our client is looking for a Community and Social Manager, reporting to their Head of Marketing and Communications in the UK and working with the International Communications Team.

    With a proven reputation in the games world and eSports, you will be just as happy working at real world events and conventions as you are online and in social media. You will be building relationships with key influencers and our client’s voice on a number of communication channels, running in game events, providing game demonstrations and working the stands at trade events, conventions and more.

    This is an amazing opportunity for an experienced community manager, with a talent for relationship building and content creation wanting to work in AAA games.

    Key Skills:

    • 3 A-levels or equivalent qualification. Batchelors degree in Marketing, PR or Business an advantage
    • 3+ years’ experience as a Social and Community Manager in the games industry
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Expert with a variety of Social Media & Community platforms (incl. YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Twitch, Instagram, Steam, Reddit, ResetERA, Forums, blogs etc.)
    • Established relationships with Influencers, particularly within eSports
    • Understanding of local media and new media landscape
    • Creative flair and confidence
    • Effective team player
    • Extremely well organised
    • Strong administrational skills
    • Ability to multi-task and meet short deadlines is essential

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Build, maintain and leverage relationships with key Influencers/content creators (bloggers, YouTubers, Streamers, etc.)
    • Discover new up and coming Influencer partners and gaming talent for future partnerships
    • Build and execute Social and Community plans and events. This will include bolted on activity at pre-planned Marketing/PR events
    • Create content and communication materials for Social Media channels
    • Forge close relationships with relevant local partners
    • Assist the International Team with the monitoring of English Language Social Media channels while assisting with the engagement of local communities
    • Present and demonstrate games, to internal and external stakeholders
    • Develop a close working relationship with the UK PR and Product Managers to ensure the Social & Community plans, marketing/media plans and PR plans are linked effectively
    • Create weekly snapshot reports, detailing the performance of Community & Social initiatives
    • Perform other duties as required by the Head of Marketing and Communications UK such as budget management, ensuring all required approvals are received, attending trade shows, local, national and international travel and completing relevant projects
