Jagex Games Studio is seeking a talented environment artist who is interested in making world class video games.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an experienced team to deliver environment models for an unannounced new MMO.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Deliver high quality game world areas, based on concept art and art direction.
Ensure all the work produced is efficiently constructed for use in game engine.
Consistent delivery of high quality art: on-spec and on-time.
Work with tech artists and programmers to ensure the final models in game looks and runs as desired.
Assist with quality control over outsourced artwork.
Minimum 3 years game industry experience as an environment artist.
Expert level of knowledge in Maya, ZBrush, Photoshop and Substance Painter/Designer.
Very strong artistic skills to help realise the game’s vision.
Professional experience creating environments in Unity.
Excellent ability to use a PBR pipeline and tools for clean, organised and impactful texturing of assets.
Excellent understanding of organic and hard surface game modelling for architecture and nature.
A comprehensive modelling and texturing portfolio showing 3D environment art for games to a very high standard.
Able to take and interpret direction and criticism as well as constructively critique the work of others.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Great interpersonal skills. Must be able to work closely in a team setting and with other dependent departments.
Strong interest in video games.
- Professional experience with open-world game development.
- Professional experience developing third person action games.
- Practical knowledge of programming languages (Python, C# / C++, etc.) is a bonus.
- Experience in giving feedback to outsourcers.
