This is a great opportunity to join the UK's most exciting, award winning developer and games label, Team17 in  brand new role - created due to the huge growth we have undergone within the past 12-18 months. We're looking for a Professional Training Manager to join us taking overall responsibility for training and development within the organisation ensuring that this fits in with the overall production schedule. Who could pass on the opportunity to work with the developer/publisher behind titles such as Worms, The Escapists, Overcooked, Yooka-Laylee and so much more! The successful candidate will be responsible for:

-Identifying training and development needs through job analysis, appraisal schemes and regular consultation with managers
-Overseeing training programmes that include web-based seminars, printed manuals, group sessions, training videos, and more
-Determining the training needs and requirements for the Company or for groups of employees by meeting with managers, talking with employees, or administering surveys
-Assessing employees' skills, talents, performance and productivity and providing advice for improvement
-Modifying or creating course materials and training manuals to meet specific training needs
-Presenting in-person and online training sessions or engaging qualified personnel to do so
-Engaging with suppliers/partners and keeping up to date with their products and services and arranging workshops/other educational sessions for Team17 employees
-Identifying relevant exhibitions/seminars and arranging attendance where appropriate
-Scheduling training sessions, organizing information technology and other equipment, and managing course enrolment
-Identifying future training needs and creating programmes to facilitate that training
-Monitoring training programmes and manuals to ensure that they are effective and up-to-date and making updates as necessary
-Working with managers to address learning issues, instruction problems, or new training needs regarding specific employees or departments
-Managing costs for all programmes, productions, and publications in order to report on return on investment
-Keeping current on the activities and needs of the games industry by attending regular meetings, conferences, and seminars
-Maintaining understanding of new educational and training techniques and methods
-Ensuring that statutory training requirements are met
Key Skills: Employees will demonstrate the following skills and characteristics:

-A minimum of 2 years' experience of managing a training function within a technology environment
-Excellent communication skills
-Experience and practical knowledge of all major social media and video distribution platforms
-The ability to work as part of a team and independently
-A logical approach to problem solving
-An energetic and flexible approach to every day working life
-Competence in relevant technology
-A passion for video games and their development is also desirable but not essential
