Jagex Games Studio is looking for a QA Analyst to join our Old School RuneScape team You know what a QA Analyst is right? They test new content to ensure it is suitable while checking for bugs, playability and all the usual stuff. However, being a QA analyst in the Old School team is so much more!
The successful candidate will bring their ideas to design meetings to help decide how we can best implement the players’ ideas into the game. They will also answer questions from the community in the live streams and on video. You’ll be using your understanding of the community to make every update as community focused as possible.
We are very community focused and this role is a key part of maintaining our relationship with our players.
The successful candidate will need to be incredibly community focused and passionate about making Old School the best game it can be. They will need to be able to listen to the community and incorporate that into their daily work. You will be an integral part of the Old School team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Create and execute customised test cases
Investigate and submit bug reports sent by our players
Communicate with players through forums and social media channels
Report defects you identify, to an exceptional standard, using JIRA
Test content to ensure it is bug free and stable for weekly releases
Analyse content and give objective feedback in verbal and written form
Work in a SCRUM team made up of talented multi-disciplined individuals
Work in a fast paced environment as part of a team to deliver high quality releases
Contribute to the direction of Old School RuneScape.
Take a proactive role in learning the RuneScape development language.
Engage the community, taking on feedback for future improvements.
You must know so much about Old School that if you don’t know it, it isn’t worth knowing it.
In-depth understanding of the Old School community.
You must prefer Old School to reality.
Able to engage with the community through multiple media channels.
Must be a geek like the rest of the Old School team.
Able to learn rapidly and eager to take on new challenges.

Able to demonstrate an understanding of testing methodologies and AGILE development.
Able to effectively perform destructive and exploratory testing without test case guidance.
Passionate about Quality Assurance and eager to progress further in your career.
Experience with JIRA and Perforce.
Basic knowledge in any relevant programming language.
Previous testing experience on MMO’s.
Knowledge of Agile Development practices.
A computing or gaming related degree.
Advanced knowledge of RuneScape Design, through direct game experience.
