Jagex Games Studio is looking for an exceptional and passionate Technical Artist to join the tribe to work on a new, unannounced MMO.

This is a great opportunity for technical artist looking for a varied and challenging role within a tight-knit team in which they would be able to provide creative input and technical direction.

The successful applicant will be able to enjoy our newly refurbished office which includes contemporary break out areas, gaming zones, high tech meeting rooms, a huge Atrium with tiered seating and our very own private bar!


Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Assists in designing tools/process solutions and pipelines for artists.
Develops tools solutions using scripting or programming languages associated with production applications.
Recognizes inefficiencies and problems in existing pipelines and identifies solutions.
Assists other artists in technical aspects of game creation.


Essential Requirements:

The ideal candidate would have expert knowledge of Maya and be comfortable writing scripts and tools in Python and Mel script including using the Maya APIs.
Strong understanding of current generation rendering techniques in Unity game engine.
Competence in C# and C++ and with real-time shader development.
Competence with math functions and linear algebra for rigging or shading.
VFX experience a plus
