Overview

Jagex Games Studio is looking for a talented and passionate Technical Artist to join our in-house RuneScape graphics team. 
This is a great opportunity for technical artist looking for a varied and challenging role with a great opportunity for creative input and technical direction.

 

We are looking for a candidate who can integrate into our team seamlessly and hit the ground running. This includes the ability to follow common goals whilst putting the team first. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and make every effort to demonstrate initiative and active contribution to ensure the studio remains a productive and rewarding team environment in order to produce top quality work.

Main Duties & Responsibilites:

•Assists in designing tools/process solutions and pipelines for artists
•Develops tools solutions using scripting or programming languages associated with production applications
•Recognizes inefficiencies and problems in existing pipelines and identifies solutions
•Supports improvement/enhancement of processes on a live MMO
•Assists other artists in technical aspects of game creation

 

Essential Requirements:
Solid understanding of polygon modeling, UV editing, Character Rigging, etc
•Solid understanding of MAX Script tool development and other relevant languages 
•Strong understanding of current generation rendering techniques
•Competence in C# and C++ and with real-time shader development
•Competence with math functions and linear algebra for rigging or shading
•A strong interest in other platforms and emerging technology
