Jagex Games Studio is looking for an exceptional and passionate Character Artist to join our in-house graphics team.
The successful applicant will be have experience in a variety of modelling methods whilst bringing to life new characters, creatures of all shapes and sizes, armour sets, weapons and sometimes the just plain bizarre to the world of RuneScape.
The ideal candidate will feel at home with hand painted styles and simple, descriptive (and efficient) modelling with a portfolio that reflects your skills. You’ll be a part of a collective and welcoming team that is just as passionate as you are about developing and shaping one of the largest and longest serving MMORPG’s of all time.

Main Duties and Responsibilies:
Supporting Designers, Animators and QA to release high quality assets whilst being mindful of our release schedule
Collaborating with the rest of the team to aid with future art asset and project ideas
Working closely with the rest of the Character modellers, Character lead and art director to maintain and develop the games visual style
An excellent understanding of low poly modelling, UV mapping and hand painted textures
An excellent level of knowledge using 3DS Max or Maya, Photoshop CS6, Zbrush
An excellent understanding of human anatomy, shape and form
A positive communicator with the ability to work with staff from all disciplines
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Ability to be flexible and adapt to change when requested
Experience in a professional 3D game art or feature film experience
Experience with 2D digital or traditional art
An interest in fantasy MMO/RPG games
