Gameplay Programmer - Unannounced MMO

Jagex Games Studio are looking for a talented gameplay programmer to join the tribe to work on an unannounced, new MMO. 

Working closely with the team you will be responsible for coding and developing fantastic game content.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Produce high quality code – You will be working in C# and your code needs to be safe, efficient and maintainable
Iterating new game content – The new game will have a huge variety of content

As well as developing you will be responsible for sensibly iterating your work so that it is of the best possible quality from a player’s perspective
Driving a project forward - You’re active in finding solutions and positive when facing challenges. You are able to work to a deadline in an Agile software development methodology, and also be happy to lend a helping hand wherever it’s needed
 
Essential Skills:
Good programming skills - You will have experience writing quality code in at least one programming or scripting language and be familiar with practices such as code reviews, maintenance and adhering to coding standards. It is important that you can hit the ground running
Experience in Unity – You should have extensive knowledge and experience of the Unity engine
Strong communication - You’ll be working in a multi-skilled team alongside designers, artists, QA and other professionals. You’ll need to be able to communicate effectively with people from a wide range of expertise and responsibilities
Proven task and time management ability - You can work with tight deadlines in a project based environment, organising tasks and estimating time costs. Experience in Agile development and with project management solutions such as JIRA are beneficial
A passion for games and the gaming community - You love to play, design and create great games, particularly MMORPGs. You are willing to take on board and act effectively on feedback from the community, giving our players the gameplay experience they love
A deep understanding of MMOs; in terms of their design, implementation and gameplay systems
