The Challenge Ahead:
EA is looking for an experienced Marketing Operations Manager to be responsible for managing the end-to-end audience generation and management program for Europe. You will be one part database administrator, one part detective, one part marketer, and one part operations specialist. This position will work to understand the data requests of the digital media buyers and strategists driving the digital marketing initiatives in Europe, locate the necessary data from disparate sources, pull the necessary data, validate its quality, then ensure that the lists are available in the necessary platforms for campaign execution.
This role will be based in Guildford, UK and will require a high level of autonomy and self-motivation.
What a Marketing Operations Manager, Audience does at EA:
Work with media buyers and strategists to identify and create audience requests in order to help support targeted campaign execution for title launches and ongoing player engagement
Support audience exploration and discovery by providing audience counts to strategists
Identify the necessary data sources to assemble the audience from both internal and external data sources
Pull the data required to assemble the lists, sometimes pre-staging it to join multiple sources into a single list
Validate list quality, and work with the data owners to identify lapses in quality
Work with data owners to request additional data points and attributes that may not exist at the time of request
Work cross-functionally with various teams in the organization to ensure timely execution of audience programs that leverage data dependent on upstream processes
Create automated processes that push data to various end points
Work with external vendors to ensure EA’s requirements are being met and to support discussions regarding data infrastructure roadmap
Work with local media buyers and strategists in supporting new vendor partnerships and tests
Coordinate with analytics teams to generate model-based audiences for campaign execution
Regularly collaborate with internal legal teams to ensure regional compliance associated with data-sharing, data-ingestion and data-transfer processes.
The next great EA Marketing Operations Manager, Audience also needs:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other technical/scientific discipline
Relevant experience in a digital marketing technology environment
Professional experience working with sensitive data and/or personally identifiable information
Self-motivated, methodical, and analytical
Ability to work in a remote environment
Able to succeed in a highly matrixed organization, understand priorities, and to multi-task
Ability to fully interpret campaign strategies to make recommendations and provide information to ensure the data is appropriate
Familiarity with Agile practices, DMPs, DSPs, and use of audience targeting within a media environment highly desired
Knowledge of cross-device identity and with digital media attribution
Professional experience working with SQL, REST and/or SOAP APIs
Understanding of database fundamentals, schema design, various database technologies and data infrastructure solutions (e.g. MapReduce, Hadoop, AWS/Redshift, SQL Server, Teradata, etc.)
Understanding of data transfer tools and techniques (SQL Server Integration Services or similar).
Nice to haves:
• Project and Program Management experience
Hands-on professional experience with one or more of the following programming languages: Python, C#, Ruby, Java
Experience in the video games industry.
