Sound like a match? Kabam Vancouver is looking for a Lighting Artist with a background in models, textures and material to join us in delivering titles such as Marvel: Contest of Champions and Transformers: Forged to Fight.

You will contribute by:
Applying your superior lighting skills using the latest techniques and tools to light game environments, characters and in game cinematics
Creating 3D models and textures of the utmost quality from provided concept art and/or real-world photo reference
Helping define the quality bar and best practices for lighting
Understand the technical limitations of mobile devices and work well within those constraints (i.e. polycounts, texture budgets, etc.)
Taking direction from the Art Director and Lead Artist and make changes as needed

Your background includes:
5 + years of relevant work experience
Strong understanding of lighting techniques and pipelines
Demonstrated experience in 3D modeling and texture creation for games
Expert knowledge in software such as Maya, Photoshop, Mental Ray, Arnold and Vray
Experience using Unity, Zbrush and Substance is a definite asset!
Understanding of game production design process and methodology
Ability to work under pressure and balance deadlines and resources with the style and quality
Hobbies such as photography/film that accelerate your craft
