Job Description

Hibernum is looking for a database engineer to help shape our fast-evolving backend infrastructure. In addition to maintaining and improving our existing infrastructure, the ideal candidate can anticipate our production teams' database needs, and put new tools through their paces to find the ones we should adopt and deploy. Think of yourself as a talent scout for new tech.

This is a great job for a recent graduate looking to turn knowledge and curiosity into hands-on experience. You'll be a key player on our backend team and have plenty of opportunities to build projects from the ground up.

You must know:
Amazon Web Services (AWS);
Database design, administration, and monitoring;
Data migration;
Performance analysis and optimization.

You should also be able to:

Gather requirements from stakeholders;
Research and test new technologies;
Document your work and produce concise reports.

Bonus points if you:

Know about noSQL solutions;
Understand the extract, transform, load (ETL) cycle.
