Activision Publishing is currently looking for a full-time HR Manager to manage the HR function for our studio Vicarious Visions, provide HR oversight to our studio and to partner with our parent company,
Activision Blizzard, on global HR initiatives.

Reporting Structure:
This position reports into an HR Director in Santa Monica, with a dotted line reporting structure to the Studio leadership at Vicarious Visions. The position will be located on-site at the Vicarious Visions studio, in Albany, New York.

Job Responsibilities:
Work with studio leadership to identify studio needs, and build HR strategies to support those needs, including identifying most effective organization structure, organization and individuals, capability and resource needs
Support leaders in identifying performance and engagement issues, identify trends from talent planning, performance management, and develop strategies to address capability/succession gaps
Build relationships with leaders to ensure we are being proactive about engaging and retaining talent
Partner closely with studio leadership on recruiting and retention initiatives
Lead the building of cultural values or changing of cultural values as needed
Provide analysis and recommendations for organizational change, help set direction and provide appropriate resources
Help identify areas for learning & development, provide recommendations/resources to management
Coach leaders on difficult situations, employee relations, mediating discussions, and performance management
Regularly address complex employee issues and guide studio leadership through these issues
Independently negotiate contrasting points of view from leaders and broker compromise while keeping senior HR leaders informed
Collaborate with other specialist functions to work on global HR initiatives
Manage other special projects on an as needed basis

Position Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Business, or related field
4 to 5 years in progressively responsible HR roles, preferably in a high-tech and creative environment; entertainment industry is a plus
Creative, resourceful problem-solver
Self-starter, highly motivated and achievement orientated
Proven success utilizing employee attraction, engagement, and retention strategies
Strong conflict resolution, influencing, decision making, and communication skills
A strong ability to influence people and decisions
Ability to excel in an ever-changing environment
Proactive and a problem-solving orientation
