Relic Entertainment, a wholly owned studio of SEGA, is the award winning RTS developer of Homeworld, Dawn of War and Company of Heroes, and we’re on the hunt for a Cinematic Artist to make creative video inputs that support our marketing and community efforts across all our channels. This soon to be Relican will be an integral part of our Brand team but pushing the limits of what’s possible is a team effort so will also work with our development team (artists, animators, programmers and designers). As our Cinematic Artist, here’s what you’ll be doing...
Acting as an internal creative wizard: Creating screenshots for PR support, pre-visualizations, and compelling in-game video sequences (excellent pacing and timing is must) to showcase our products in a way that excites our community
Storytelling: We’re counting on you to bring our briefs and vision to life through cinematography
Driving the cinematic for our trailers: You would be responsible for scripting, directing, choreographing, lighting and post-production of in-engine cinematic for trailers using the game engine
Creating and modifying game environments to give them a wow factor: We’ll depend on you to enhance cinematic scenarios using our proprietary tools
Collaborating with other disciplines: Whether it’s working with the audio team to produce sound and musical elements for trailers or working with our designers to strike a balance between gameplay and visual storytelling, we need you to be able to use other disciplines to push the quality bar
We’re looking for someone who has…
4+ years of video editing experience, working within a marketing team
Strong knowledge (and passion of course!) for cinematography, editing and post production
Experience with staging action-oriented and dramatic sequences
Experience in Adobe Suite, 3DStudio Max, and Final Cut (or similar editing software) in a PC Environment
A natural ability to take things on proactively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
An ability to quickly adapt to our proprietary software
Successfully been able to work with tight deadlines and a fast paced environment
A love for games! You must be a gamer at heart
It’s a bonus if you have…
Experience in audio, motion graphics or compositing
